Impact of Conquest

-Short term- The son of Genghis Khan “ Kubilai Khan had taken over and now gunpowder was being allowed for celebrations

-Long term- Kubilai wanted to keep the Mongol Culture and Chinese Culture separate but there were a few hundred thousand Mongolians and there were at least 90 million Chinese people that a lot to handle.

– economic- China had many artisans ( a skilled manual worker) and the Mongolian people wanted artisans because they made many things that the Mongolian people wanted and they made things that China traded with. Artisans made many things such as (iron, Ceramics and Jade). The Mongols gave Artisans, peasants and merchants more rights and the respect they needed because the Mongols felt that these people deserved it for the value to the Chinese society

– Environmental- The Mongolian conquest didn’t really have much of a affect on the environment but some of the native plants and trees could have been destroyed from the conquest taking place

– social- One of the social effects was women were now influential to be as property owners and other areas of the public sector.

-political- The political times were really hard for the Chinese as they had greatly less capable rulers than Kubilai Khan so they were overruled by him.
